Branching off from the stack

4x4x3-Wye-45

ABS-4x4x3-Wye-45

Used to connect one 3" horizontal branch to the 4" sewer stack, particularly when need to come out at an angle from a corner (which is the normal case). Whenever possible (and when there is vertical height available (eg in basement or when there is a wall that can be used)) use two branches one above another, but for the one below it is better to use a Wye then pipe then a 45 degree. Do this even if not needed today because it allows for future expansion,

4x4x3-Wye

Used for a connection from the 4" sewer stack when there is already a branch off above for the floor. This one relies on using the wall to hide the pipe. It connects to a piece of 3" pipe upwards to floor height and then a 3x3-45-bend at ceiling height.

4x4x3x3-Double-Wye

ABS-4x4x3x3-Double-Wye

Can be used to connect two 3" horizontal branches to the 4" sewer stack if they are in opposite directions. It can be nice as it provides for future expansion. In practice using this can be difficult in the concrete corner where the stacks are usually positioned. Also it does not work well when needing to come off in a particular direction. The branches connect to lengths of 3" pipe at 45 degrees and then to 3x3-45-bends when it gets to in0ceiling height.

Used when one 3" branch needs to serve two toilets. Not a bad idea to include for future expansion even if no current plans for a second toilet.

Not actually very useful because Wyes with 45 degree outlets typically require a length of pipe at 45 degrees before doing the 45 degree turn to horizontal, so you actually need all hub 45 degree bends.
